Lake Boort

Lake Boort is part of a chain of wetlands that extend north from Boort, in north western Victoria.

It offers a window into a rich and diverse cultural landscape – into Aboriginal culture and traditions, and the history of colonial settlement. Moreover, it is a special place for Dja Dja Wurrung and for the local Boort community.

Context (now GML Heritage) worked closely with Parks Victoria in preparing the draft Plan, preparing discussion papers, undertaking field work, consulting with Dja Dja Wurrung, agencies, the Shire and local community, and drafting the Plan document.
