Video: Artefact research with Erin Wilkins
Erin Wilkins Darug cultural educator, trainer and facilitator.
In this video, Erin Wilkins generously shares her knowledge about artefacts and their significance to Darug people, such as the this dilli bag. It is likely made with fibres from the Kurrajong tree and coloured with natural dyes. The artefact research forms part of a new interpretation display designed by GML Heritage in the heart of Parramatta, commissioned by the Walker Corporation.
At GML one of our values is to strive to understand before we are understood. We are fortunate to work with people such as Erin to elevate First Nations voices.
