Briannon Dudek
Heritage Consultant, Archaeologist
Briannon Dudek, GML Heritage Consultant and Archaeologist, is a listed Heritage Advisor under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and has experience working under the Heritage Act 2017.
She has developed a strong focus on lithic technology and Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management. As part of her Honours degree, Briannon undertook a pXRF analysis of edge-ground axes held within collections on Yung Balug Country to explore intra-assemblage variation.
Prior to joining GML, Briannon worked as a research assistant and archaeologist for a private heritage consultant and as an assistant archaeologist for a large Melbourne based heritage consultancy. In these roles, Briannon assisted on numerous site surveys and excavations and gained experience in researching and writing cultural heritage management plans.
Briannon has five years’ experience working as an archaeologist in Victoria and has been involved in manual and mechanical site excavations, artefact management, artefact photography, cultural heritage management plans and surveys.
At GML, Briannon works on a range of archaeological and heritage projects at all stages, contributing to background research, report writing and fieldwork.
