GML projects shortlisted in National Trust (NSW) Heritage Awards

GML is thrilled to see several of our projects shortlisted in this year’s National Trust of Australia (NSW) Heritage Awards.

The Chinatown Ceremonial Gates project for the City of Sydney is a finalist in the Interiors and Objects category. The project included a heritage assessment by GML, leading to local heritage listing, as well as major conservation works, and was delivered in collaboration with many partners, including GML, International Conservation Services and members of the Chinese community.

GML is also pleased to see the Woollahra Modern Buildings Studies shortlisted in the Resources and Publications category. This project for Woollahra Municipal Council was delivered by GML and Robertson & Hindmarsh Architects Pty Ltd across two stages and identified and assessed a gap in heritage listings for 20th-century Modern architecture across the LGA.

Congratulations to City of Sydney as well on its shortlisting for Joy, the bronze replica of Loui Fraser’s iconic statue installed at Yurong Reserve, Darlinghurst. GML provided heritage advice to support the statue’s installation within the local conservation area.

We look forward to celebrating all shortlisted projects at the awards ceremony on Friday 15 May. We are also proud to once again sponsor the Young Achiever Award, supporting the next generation of heritage professionals.
