Melbourne

Based in Carlton on Wurundjeri Country, our Victoria team works across the state to uncover, articulate, and protect the connections between people and place.

GML Heritage Victoria is a multidisciplinary team working across built and landscape heritage, First Peoples heritage, archaeology, history, collections management, conservation, strategic planning, and interpretation and design.

We partner with property owners, not-for-profits, corporations, and government agencies to navigate heritage challenges — and to find outcomes that shape positive futures.

30+ years of experience across Victoria

Our team has contributed to the care and management of local, state significant, and World Heritage sites.

We support clients across a wide range of sectors, including commercial and urban development, infrastructure, education, renewable energy, public open space, sport and recreation, tourism, defence, and government.

How we work

Heritage advice & services
We provides tailored heritage advice—helping clients navigate permit and consent processes, undertaking historical research, preparing heritage documentation, and consulting with regulatory authorities and Traditional Owners. Our First Peoples consultation services are delivered with respect, recognising the depth of cultural knowledge and values that communities hold.

A collaborative network
Supported by strong relationships across the sector, we work alongside architects, planners, landscape architects, engineers, marine archaeologists, conservators, arborists, photographers, and cost planners to bring the right expertise to every project.

Where others see heritage risks, we find collaborative solutions.
