Chairim is a highly skilled built heritage consultant with a background in history and cultural studies.
Chairim has extensive project management experience including on strategic projects associated with climate change adaptation, such as the Heritage Council of Victoria’s Heritage and Climate Change Stage 2 project and the Queensland Heritage Climate Adaptation Plan.
Chairim also has a proven track record in executing municipal heritage assessment projects of all scales, having overseen all aspects of heritage studies and associated planning scheme amendment works. She is highly experienced in utilising GIS mapping and graphic visualisation in those studies. Chairim has recently managed heritage studies and planning scheme amendment projects for local councils, including City of Melbourne Council, Darebin City Council, Mount Alexander Shire Council, City of Boroondara Council and City of Greater Bendigo Council.
Chairim also has a strong interest in social value assessment, having worked on the City of Yarra LGBTIQA+ Heritage Study, Aboriginal Fitzroy Shared Values Pilot Study, Hoddle Grid Heritage Review, and Preston Market Social Value Assessment.
