Sophie Bock is a built heritage consultant with over 15 years’ experience in heritage consultancy, underpinned by a background in history, architecture, urbanism and conservation.
She has broad experience across the assessment, management and conservation of built and urban heritage of state and local significance, and a strong understanding of heritage planning frameworks.
Sophie has worked on a wide range of complex and significant heritage places and is adept at navigating the interface between heritage values and contemporary development. She has prepared conservation management plans, heritage impact statements, heritage assessments, interpretation strategies and provided advisory services. Sophie brings a thoughtful and rigorous approach to heritage analysis and documentation, with a focus on clear communication and practical, outcomes-driven advice.
Sophie has extensive experience working across multidisciplinary teams and managing heritage inputs within larger projects. Her project experience spans a broad range of building types and precincts, including commercial, institutional, residential and infrastructure sites. She has worked with government and private clients on projects of varying scale and complexity, contributing to the successful delivery of sensitive heritage outcomes.
