Recognising that First Nations people are the rightful owners of their culture, knowledge and heritage, we work respectfully to record and reflect back cultural and social values to guide planning, management, interpretation and conservation. Through community engagement, we help ensure that the special attachments, traditions and practices that form part of the living cultural heritage of Australian First Nations peoples are recognised and respected.

We uncover options and solutions that reflect community aspirations, represent First Nations cultural values and principles, and align with best practice and regulatory standards. We welcome opportunities to work collaboratively with First Nations people across Australia on cultural values and cultural mapping.
