Jessica Richardson
Graduate Heritage Consultant
Jessica Richardson is a graduate heritage consultant with Heritage Places team in Melbourne.
She recently graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Urban and Cultural Heritage (First Class Honours). She also holds a Master of Architecture (First Class Honours) as well as a Bachelor of Design with a Specialisation in Design Histories from the University of Melbourne.
Jessica has worked on a range of heritage projects, including large-scale heritage citation reviews and urban heritage strategy projects. Across these projects, Jessica has provided in-depth historical, architectural and socio-cultural research whilst also contributing to predictive mapping, citations and report writing.
Jessica’s personal heritage philosophy has evolved through an interdisciplinary and holistic lens, drawing on active research, consideration and sensitivity to different aspects of our built and natural landscapes.
‘Meanings of place and culture will inevitably change over time and collectively differ for every person. For me, heritage is not—and should not be—static.’
