Pathways to Community Living Initiative
The Pathways to Community Living Initiative (PCLI) is an important NSW program transforming mental health care through purpose-built residences and community-based support for people with long-term mental health needs.
As part of Stage 2, GML is providing heritage services to Terroir and Kennedy Associates Architects on behalf of Health Infrastructure NSW, supporting the delivery of PCLI projects across four key sites: Henley and Ryde in Sydney and Waratah and Maitland in the Hunter region.
Our work has included preparing heritage assessments, conducting Aboriginal due diligence and providing heritage design advice, supporting project approvals and detailed design as these projects progress towards completion in 2027.
PCLI represents an important shift towards more integrated and supportive models of mental health care, helping people transition from long-stay hospital environments to appropriate community-based living and services.
